The planets may effect people since the moon certainly does. We are over 70% water and the moon affects the tides and hence us.

As for astrology, the system was created 1,000 years ago. In that time the planets have shifted. So, people born early in a sign are actually now the previous sign. So, I thought I was Scorpio sun sign but I'm actually in reality Libra! And, your rising changes. You can get an astromony program to see where the planets really were when you were born. It is not what astrology tells as this is based on if you were born 1,000 years ago!

It could be, as well, that people born in the spring have different first experiences than those born in the winter.

I have noticed that friends come in clumps of births - sometimes within a week of my Dad's birthday, sometimes within a week of my Mom's. Sometimes within the week of my sister or myself. I understand best those born near me.

So, there is something there but the system needs to be redefined.

Astrology is just another way of organizing the universe in a more coherent fashion. The human mind needs to be able to make generalized decisions so that we don't get bogged down in conciously choosing between each and every variable. You could compare the 12 signs of astrology to Jungs archtypes. (Hmm...infulenced perhaps?)

Of course the truth of reality is subjective...

No, If you get several different newspapers you will see that the horoscopes will not be the same.

If this was a factual science as it is said to be then the same message would appear in all papers no matter where you are.

yes. i don't believe in horoscopes as much, they're so general that they could apply to anybody anytime. however when you look at the in depth personality traits(though they can be general too), a lot of times people will say it describes them very well. the practice itself dates back a very long time as well. there are a lot of mysteries in the past that we won't ever really solve.
