It's like having a rat problem and solving it by knocking down the whole house and the ironic thing is the rats still manage to escape to another house.

I love the way you put it, it is very true and all that killing did not give Israel one guarantee that they even hit Hezbollah, they are hitting, killing, and injuring only civilians, mostly children.

Couldn't agree more with Israel suffers more terrorism than America, if you look at the formation and history of Israel, a lot was due to persecution of Jews who then migrated to what is now known as Israel. Even before WW2 and the holocaust, Jews have been hated on, and i think its their human right to fight, and fight hard against those who oppose the only Jewish state in the world. There is only so much a man can take and the Arab terrorists ranging from hamas to Hezbollah to other Palestinian splinter groups, have been hitting Israel for the last 50 years through acts of kidnapping, suicide bombs, assassinations!

No it just ads to the problem.

I think any kind of violence that is not for the greater cause of justice for humanity and overall human rights (not just one specific cultures' ethnocentric aim at human rights) could be considered terrorism. I would assert that the allies struggle against facism in World War II was not terrorism, but a fight AGAINST terrorism - but there are very few wars like that in our world's history.
This war in Iraq IS NOT WWII. I think I probably would assert that the US is asserting a form of terrorism because while we may be figting for the people of Iraq, we ARE MOST DEFINITELY also fighting for our own interests. that is exactly what the Muslims are doing. Innoncent people have been killed and I'm quite sure there was terror when we bombed Baghdad. Terrorism is most definitely not a Muslim ideal. the only true way to not be a terrorist, however, is to utlimately seek the SELFLESS cause of peace for humanity - not just for yourself or your own culture - and we must divorce the idea of violence being the only away to achieve justice from our thinking. The minute you resort to violence for whatever reason, you begin down a path of perpetual violence that leads to terrorism .

It seemed to work for America in Afghanistan and no one was really complaining then... Israel suffers from far more terrorism than America and yet people are now saying Israel are over reacting? Why didn't they say that before? Only when they targeted Iraq did anyone say anything...

Just think the world is being a bit hypocritical now and everyone should get the same treatment.

Israel is destroying its international reputation, its sympathy from everyday people, and any standing as other than terrorists themselves by wantonly destroying the lives, homes and future of the Lebanese people.

For years, Irish-Americans supported the IRA, yet Britain never bombed Boston or Chicago over it. Diplomacy works, but only if you use it.

You cannot separate the just from the unjust and the good from the wicked;
For they stand together before the face of the sun even as the black thread and the white are woven together.
And when the black thread breaks, the weaver shall look into the whole cloth, and he shall examine the loom also.

You might not get the bad rats but in a thinking population the good rats might decide to be a little more selective when choosing their friends.

We need to understand the definition of terrorism and who is actually a terrorist. If you look at history when Bangladesh, Pakistan and India were colonised by the British Empire and those who wanted Independence of these countries they were called terrorist by the British, However, to the people of those Nations those so called terrorist by British were called Hero to their own people.

if you are referring to the Middle East crises we need to simplify and identify the actual terrorist and bring them to justice. I leave it for the Yahoo community to decide who the terrorist are.

No. For every civilian you kill while doing so, you will create another 100 terrorists. I'm a peace-loving softie, but if someone bombed my home and I'd done nothing wrong, you know what, I'd become a terrorist!

Totally agree. Israelis are not even targeting the terrorists(although they state otherwise)

They are killing families.

The childrens, relatives of those families will retaliate who will be called "terrorists" by the egocentriic, arrogant, goodfornothing leaders of the west.
