Henry led Arsenal to the Champions League final and France to the World Cup final.Some may say Ronaldinho has led Barcelona to victory but he didn't impress in the WC. and Zidane more the reason for France's success but without Henry France might have never been able to go that far as well.Arsenal would have never made without Henry, while Barcelona could manage to win over Arsenal in the finals even with a shaky on-the-day Ronaldinho.Henry has played the best,even with average player's in his team.

I agree completely, hes been the best player in the world for a few years and hasn't really got any recognition for it. Ronaldinho is an in and out player sometimes he plays well and a lot of the time he goes missing especially against good teams, Henry however is always a goal threat no matter who his team are playing against.

Henry is one of the best players in the world. He can change any team he plays with to the best. He is just like the heart of his team and without a heart the team will be useless.
Henry got every thing you dream of in a player: well playing- great Tec.- smart- self respect and clean playing.
Every team should have its own Henry....

Totti is another player who is not on the list who deserves mentioning only being the leading scorer in all competitions in Europe last season.....AKA European Golden Boot They selected a lot of these players on reputations......Henry didn't play for much of the year.....Thuram who has not done much @ Barcelona....Buffon! Played in the Serie B all of last season..... Complete Rubbish...... Kaka is probably going to win this award....

This question is quite interesting.As a matter of fact,he has a chance to be every year because of his excellent performance in Arsenal.But why can't he get?Cuz he didn't really impress us in his national team.So Zidane could beat him even if Zidane didn't do really good.
