Just curious whether it is consider a travesty, or a way in to the art.
You don't have to be a professional dancer to answer btw, I'm just particularly curious about professional opinion.

I think that DDR is a great video game.....it gets you MOVING!!! As a professional dancer though, it isn't what I consider "art". I think it is a fun way to get moving and if it interests people into taking some real dance classes, GREAT! I say, enjoy it!!!!

DDR, while a real blast, is hardly real dancing. Maybe it can teach you to move to a beat, but that's about all it has in common with dancing. (But don't get me wrong, I love the game, and I love to dance).

It's a fun way to workout! You can always make it into your own dance cuz everyone has their own style. It's such a cool, creative, and health-friendly game!
