Breach of Contract is any time any clause, condition, or provision of a contract is betrayed, broken, or denied, etc.

This idea can work for you as well as against you. ALWAYS read the fine print of a contract, and ANYONE who tries to rush you, even though the contract may be very familiar to them, risks appearing deceptive to you.

In my industry (fitness), literally HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of people have rushed into contracts with large fitness companies wihtout reading the contract, and end up paying thousands for a club that they find falls WAY short of the original marketing illusion. If they breach the contract, that is -- cancel -- they can end up being billed for the entire term of the contract plus fees, sometimes several years' dues all at once.

Same with leases. Same with car sales. Same with vacation packages. Same with phone contracts.

Always read, and if you are accused of breach, and it's worth the money, hire a lawyer. If you feel you were deceived --- for instance, if they say "Oh, it's a standard contract, nothing to worry about..." and there WAS a lot to worry about in the contract -- that CAN make a big difference to a judge or arbitration board.

Good Luck... :)

If you sign a contract and then break one of the agreed upon terms that is breach of contract.
An example is if you sign a contract with a recording studio that says that you will only do performances set up by the studio. Then you arrange an unannounced concert that the studio doesn't know anything about, that would be breach of contract.

You promised that you would do something if somebody else would do something. The other person did what he promised to do. Then you broke your promise by not doing what you had agreed to do in exchange. That's breech of contract.
