One of the Aussie player stopped because of a whistle in the crowd against Japan. There's probably loads.

I take football so seriosly. so when i hear a whistle coming from the crowd and i think it's from the refree i really become angry.
The crowd's whistles happen every match But how can a player know the difference between them That's the real quistion.

It happens sometimes. On this World Cup it happened in the match Ghana vs Czech Republic, when the African player shot the penalty to early. He was suspended for the next game because of that.
I have seen it on a match Iran vs Denmark, too. A player of Iran took the ball in his hands in the penalty area because he thought there would be a free kick. The Danish player missed the penalty purposely.

Happened once in a game I was watching, the player thought he had been caught offside and just stopped, but the ref hadn't blown. Can't remember the match just that it was a Birmingham City player and thus it wouldn't have made any difference anyway as the chances of us scoring would have been about zero.
