I do understand your worries. Your mother or your sister should have explained all this to you a long time ago, my sweet little friend.
Your navel has to be washed every day, and dried with a towel.
When you have your monthly you have to be especially aware of cleaniless and smell. You will always have an odeour of fresh blood; but several times a day you have to wash yourself in lukewarm water down there.
And in general - be careful to wash every day, and in specific places several times a day.
Love.

You have to wash your belly button. Best is some antibacterial soap. Put a bit on a washcloth and clean out your navel. If you find that you're having some skin irritation in your navel, get some antiseptic powder (a small bottle will do) and squirt it in the navel. It has to be kept dry and clean. Or you use a Q-tip to put the powder in. The powder might clump a little, but that's just absorbing moisture, dead skin and bacteria that would otherwise cause the smell. When that happens, clean again, put powder in again and in a couple of days you'll be fine.
