My Prius battery needed replacing at 13 months old, they did it free under warranty. they said it was unusual.
has it happened to anyone else or was i just unlucky?
it is a great car otherwise and cost's me less than half in fuel to run.

Am amazed to hear that anyone could have a problem with any part of a Toyota.
I have been driving them for years, and I find them to be the most reliable car's in the world.
It was very soon for the battery to give trouble but, hopefully, you will be trouble free from now on.
Happy motoring!
