Not any more. I think Bristol Zoo had the last one. Basically they do not adapt well to captivity - exhibiting a lot of stereoptyped behaviour eg pacing, head twists etc. Zoos have finally accepted that this species is unsuitable for captivity. This is probably due to their nomadic lifestyle in the wild ranging over many 100s of Km.

Flamingo land in North Yorkshire which is also a theme park and well as a zoo have a polar bear but i think hes elderly now and i have not been for several years ,its also convenient for the historical city of York,

I agre with sunrise, Polar Bears should not be in zoos. Bristol used to have one and he went rather mad being cooped up in an enclosure. It develop right into a really unhappy sight to verify him pacing lower backward and forward tossing his head. at the same time as he died they rather rightly made no attempt to modify him.
