depend on what are you looking for, if shopping then anyway[Sungai Wang, China Town, Chow Kit, etc] is a good bargain, of course for designer brand then head toward Suria KLCC, Sogo, Berjaya Time Square, Bukit Bintang, Lot 10, Mid Valley Megamall etc. Twin Tower, KLCC's aquarium, Central Market are places worth visiting, but a little further from city are Batu Caves, Templer Park, Forest Research Institute, Putra Jaya, Tasik Perdana Recreational Park[include Bird , Butterfly and Deer Park] that should not be miss. For nightlife that are all happening in city center especially the Golden Triangle area around Bukit Bintang!

Visit the Petronas Twin Tower, KL Tower, go to play at Cosmo's Park, Berjaya Times Square, go shopping on Jalan Bukit Bintang..... there's just so many things to do in Kuala Lumpur!

A lot of fun things to do..
1. Food....since KL has many ethnic background and also expats, u can try out various delicious foods.
2. Shopping.....more shopping complexes that most cities on earth.
3. Free sauna....the heat and humidity, coupled with walking and shopping is enough to sweat u a couple of pounds/kilos.

malaysia is the only country in the world that has affirmative action for the majority race, and they practice institutionalized racism. non-malays and non-muslims are discriminated against, its like apartheid-light. boycott them! dont give them support with your trip. i left that freaking place and if i can help it, i'll never go back!
