I recall a movie from my youth that had a sword in it that could either speak or sing. I don't recall if it was film, television or cartoon.

For some reason I want to say there is a scene where they are in a row boat and the sword is signing/speaking and annoying the heroes. It maybe even was a singing sword that acted as a narrator?

Does any of this sound familar?

It's not Roger Rabbit, I'm pretty sure it was an Adventure film. I know the Singing Sword is an Arthurian legend, but again, I'm not sure if it was singing or talking.

The singing sword is the weapon of Prince Valiant from the comic strip of the same name. There was a 1950's era movie based on the strip that included the singing sword. I believe Robert Wagner played Prince Valiant.

Don't know that one. But there was a singing sword on Roger Rabbit!
