I am a Canadian living in Thailand and would like to post some items on Craigslist.org

However, craigslist seems to be a local classifeds website.

Can I still post adds locally in American cities even if the items are in Thailand?

I know some people are doing it, but is it allowed?

If so, what is the proper procedure so that I don't break any rules?

Thanks

Yes you can, whether you are not local or not, but you need to meet the buyer/seller to be able to do bussiness or else no one will buy/sell you anything.

Good luck :)

Yes. You ought to spell out in the ad that you will be shipping the stuff. For an FAQ on craigslist, resort to http://www.craigslist.org/about/help/

As for "allowed" craigslist is largely policed by the users. If enough people think you are out of line they will report you and your ad will get pulled, and you will get flamed, so you just try again.
