On the one hand, we're a lot smarter. On the other, dinosaurs are a lot bigger and stronger. If history had somehow played out differently, and humans had been able to evolve (or be created, your choice) at the same time dinosaurs lived, would we be able to survive? Now there's little doubt that humans today could easily wipe out the dinosaurs, but what about early man? All he had was his brain, and maybe a stick...

Interesting question. Forgetting for the moment the fact that humans and almost all mammals were unable to get very far while dinosaurs were around ... mammals were limited to rodent-like creatures until the dinosaurs got wiped out by a probable meteor strike about 65 million years ago ... without that event, mammals would probably still be limited to appetizers for dinosaurs.

Early man would have been easy food for most predatory dinosaur species. But early humans were pretty resourceful as a group hunter. There is ample evidence that we were able to take down large species like mammoths, so we may have been able to take down some dinosaurs.

So I think it would have been a wash. Neither one would have caused the extinction of the other ... although modern humans are much much better at causing extinctions.

technically humans are smarter so they would be able to overpower them, but dinosaurs are so big and clumsy that they would step all over the buildings and military bases without even noticing, therefore killing everyone.
