Yes, I was divorced from a Muslim. You say the words "I divorce thee" three times. In that faith, you are only married for as long as you wish to be.

yes its allowed but,.....after exhausting all avenues available.
a man can give 3 divorces(talaaq)
the first one its possible to get back together after 3 months apart.
if a man issues the divorces then the marriage is finished completely and she is not halaal for him.
Talaaq(divorce) is issued in extreme and dire cases. That too after a lengthy process of mediation and reconciliation has failed. Nevertheless, if the marriage is irreparable and Talaaq is the only solution, then one Talaaq e Raji (revocable divorce) may be issued. After the passing of the Iddah period the marriage terminates and the wife is free to marry whomsoever she wishes.
(Upon issuing the third divorce), she (the wife) will not be permissible for him (the husband). There is no difference whether the (divorces) were given in one Tuhr (clean period) or two different Tuhr (clean periods). The ruling will apply with regard to the issuing of all three divorces in which ever way the husband had issued them'.

In Islam, both (the husband and wife) can get separated by divorce. The world use are :-
If husband divorces, its called "Talaq".
If Wife divorces, its called "Khulaá".
The procedure of divorce is that they have to say "I divorce you". in front of at least 2 witnesses, in the normal state of mind (when anger or rage is not controlling the mind). If one says this the pair must stop having sexual relation because if it is said at one time (may be said once or three times, amounts to first divorce, and gets cancelled if they have sexual relations). like wise this has to done second time (2nd divorce) and a third time too. After the divorce is given for 3 times, they are separated and are no more husband and wife.
As is generally misunderstood that "husband says, I divorce you 3 times and there they go departed". Islam provides them three chances to get back, they have to enact divorce in normal state of mind, think over it, and come back to each other, if not, do it 2nd time and yet can come back, and if not, finally the third time is last and final.
Islam has allowed divorce but says "its the most unliked act out of the allowed things" and generally unliked by Muslims.
Its because of its its bad effects and to stop people to divorce frequently, the punitive action of divorce is very severe. In case one divorces one's wife (all 3 divorces), then they cant unite, unless the wife gets married to another person, and he divorces the wife for 3 times. This has to be done without any mutual understanding of the 3 parties (ex husband, ex wife and new husband) or the process will not complete. This process is called Halala and is the only way a 3 times divorcee couple can join back and re-marry. So a Muslim has to think many times before divorcing 3 times.

Yes and No. A man can divorce his wife, but a woman gets no say in the matter.
Under shariah law, a man only has to say to his wife "I divorce you" in front of witnesses and that's it. Obviously, it depends on the law of various states as to whether this counts as a valid divorce. In the UK, shariah divorce isn't recognised as such, but it is evidence that the marriage has broken down.

Yes, not sure if the woman can but if the man wants to all he has to say is "I divorce you" three times - done. Not sure if he's allowed to accumulate the three times over a period of time or he has to say it one after the other at the "same" time.

Yes. According to the custom in many areas, the man says the words, "I divorce you," to his wife three times, and she's his ex-wife.
