I've been going to Colchester Zoo for a few years now and it is really great but I want to know if there are any zoos you think are better. London Zoo was really poor the last time I went, about 4 years ago.Has it improved?

Mind you I've never been to England, but if I were to go today I would visit the Jersey Zoo built by Gerald and Lee Durrell as a sanctuary for endangered species. I have always wanted to go and there. He was one of many pioneers in the breeding of endangered animals and a great human being. The public world may have taken small notice of his passing but the Earth surely felt sorrow.

Technically it isn't a zoo but a rescue centre.
The one I mean is Monkey World in Dorset.
It is a rescue centre for Primates many of which are endangered species.
All the animals there have been rescued from all over the world from the illegal pet trade, life as pets, zoos that ill-treated them, countries that used them as props for tourist shows etc.
Since these animals are the closest to us it is fascinating to watch them & see just how alike in mannerisms we are. Well worth a visit.
