Someone told me about a site that sells software that can hack into any pc in the owrld and access individual e-mail accounts and computer usage by any particular person. I don't know how it is done. But what I want ot know is, can it be done and if so, isn't it illegal?

its completely illegal , and i cant think of sites selling that stuff but real hackers usualy make a program of or a page or a script , any method they see possible to use and they deliver it to your computer by the suitable method to make it run or you run it then these things give them access to your stuff like email or if you have something special on ur computer they can take it or some place only your computer can log in to they will be behaveing as if they are sitting opposit ur computer so they can go in there ,
you can protect ur self by watchin people behaviors ,
if you have a new boy friend , he will try to watch what you do on ur pc or who is in ur email , b4 he asks you to let him see your email , or even he lets you ask him first :D
if you have something on your computer , you will find ur self receiving alot of presents :D , asoftware presents , some of these to steal ur stuff , you have to take care of things like that , have a good security software and you will be safe

there is software that hackers can use avalible anywhere on the web if you know where to look,and yes it is illegal
but there is nothing to worry about as long as you have up to date anti-virus,spyware protection and firewall
also make sure you have automatic updates on,as microsoft usually patch these threats as soon as they are found,so this is very important
the main threat at the moment is "zombie p.c,s",this is when a hacker takes over yours and many others p.c,s and uses them to bring down a company server or a website,again you can stop this happening to yourself by making sure you have adequate security installed
a firewall is very important,but you must make sure you dont have too many exceptions in it,these are gaps in the firewall that enable programs like anti virus and windows updates to update the installed programs,too many exceptions in the firewall make your p.c a target for hackers using software that scan for open firewalls,this takes hackers seconds to do,they scan the internet and any weak firewalls will come up on their screen and then all they need to do is find a backdoor on to your system,and then their in,and usually you wont even realise you have a hacker on your p.c,again good security can stop this happening,thats what hackers hate,a user with good security,its like having bodyguards protecting your p.c instead of leaving the door wide open
so dont worry about hackers,let them worry about you,keep your security up to date and you will be fine

It is entirely possible that this software exists in multiple forms. Yes this software is illegal to use but not to posses or to allow people to download. These types of software however are written everyday by people whos only intention is to use them not sell them. yes they exist and yes they are illegal
