You will really want to read the link posted for all the details of Wolverine's history. However here are some highlights. He was born James Howlett in the late 19th century in Alberta, Canada. His parents, John & Elizabeth Howlett, were wealthy landowners there, & he had a brother named John Jr. who died, causing his mom to go nuts. They also hada groundskeeper named Thomas Logan. After some rough events, Thomas killed John, James claws manifested for the first time, & he killed Thomas, scarred dog, & then witnessed his mother blow her brains out. James ran off with Rose, a friend from the estate, & the two went into hiding, with James taking the name Logan as an alias, & repressing memories of what happened with his family. Later, when Dog hunted down James & Rose, the two men fought, & Rose blocked James from killing Dog, resulting in her death & more repressed memories for "Logan". Not much else is clear until after WWII, when Logan was placed in the Weapon X program, & his skeleton was infused with adamantium. He was sent out to fight the Incredible Hulk before he was approached by Prof. X to leave alpha Flight to become one of the X-Men. There's a LOT more data in this site, & really too much to put down on here. I think you'll really enjoy the link, as it also lists much more information. I hope you enjoy it.

nicely, X-person men Wolverine is a martial artist professional and is particularly smarter than the favored human. i do no longer think of there ought to choose to be real wolverines as smart as human beings. in all probability the real Wolverine would have powers, yet while he does not understand a attributable to prepare them, then X-person men Wolverine is the winner.

Wolverine, born James Howlett and often simply called Logan, is a Marvel Comics superhero and a member of the X-Men as well as the New Avengers. He first fully appeared in Incredible Hulk #181 (October 1974).

He has since become one of Marvel’s most popular and marketed characters. His willingness to use deadly force, efforts to come to terms with his questionable past and angst-filled inner conflicts, and gruff personality have become standard for comic book anti-heroes. He has become one of the most recognizable superheroes introduced in the Modern Age of Comic Books.

Wolverine made his first appearance in the final "teaser" panel of The Incredible Hulk #180 (published in June 1974 though cover dated October 1974) written by Len Wein and illustrated by penciller Herb Trimpe and inker Jack Abel. The character then appeared in a number of comic book advertisements that ran through various Marvel Comics publications in early July 1974 (cover date: Nov. 1974) before making his first full appearance in The Incredible Hulk #181 (cover date: Nov. 1974) which was again written by Wein and illustrated by Trimpe and Abel.
