If your monitor controls can't obtain a full screen, you may have to change your screen resolution (look at your desktop settings). Otherwise, try reinstalling your video card driver. It might be corrupted.

You have to adjust your monitor, push the button on it.. look for one that is an arrow to the left, a line, then an arrow to right, that will adjust width, the one for height has an up arrow, a line, a down arrow... adjust each until the screen is filled each way.
Also, without doing that you could right click on desktop, properties, then setting and lower your resolution

could be the monitor or the grahics card mostly like the graphics card update the driver or could be you have your settings to high lower them down

unfortunatly you may have to reinstall your windows or do a restore to the last date it was working fine
