Is there a project being done to reduced air pollution and if so what is it called?

I am doing a Powerpoint presentation on air pollution.

USA pollutes the most per individual.
South East Asia pollutes more in total.

The USA is the leading contributor to mobile source air emissions merely due to the very high number of vehicle miles travelled per capita.
USA people tend to drive cars which use much petrol, like pickup trucks and SUV's.
Too lower the use of heavy weight and oversized cars, higher petrol taxes are needed. Furthermore, the government should find ways to reduce the distance between work and home.
I'm a proponent of: take from the rich, give to the poor. In this case: use those extra taxes to help the poor people in the USA. People who don't even own a car.

In South East Asia there are just too many people. Although many people think China has a firm policy of only 1 child per family, that rule doesn't apply or isn't followed up in many parts of China.

China is still growing rapidly, including it's pollution. Same goes for India.

Every project which involves solar power or wind power could be considered to reduce air pollution. Every project which involves lowering the number of people per square mile could be considered to reduce air pollution. However, i'm not aware of the use or planning of such projects other then the Chinese do.
Every project which involves reducing the distances to be driven, like the home-work distance, could be considered to reduce air pollution. Ofcourse, subsidizing of low emission vehicles like bicycles can reduce pollution. In the same process, you might loose some weight and lower the gym bills.
Furthermore, you need to vote 'left wing' if you want something done about the pollution.

Comment on 'The pilot': Unfortunately, Canada is the number two country if measured in emissions per capita... However per square mile, they will do a much better job because of the low number of people per square mile.

Advice on the presentation if using a beamer: use huge size font (about 6 or 7 lines per sheet), use high contrast for good readability, check in advance if the beamer can show your presentation correctly.

America is among the worst, it is based in Michigan and Detroit. SB38 went to the hill in 2002 and again in 2004 and was denied and was not sent further. There is too much money with the lobbiest organizations to let it pass. China is the worst, believe it or not, per capita they use more carbon burning machines then we do and the ozone is the damage for it.

though SEA mignt be the culprit, but one cannot but agree that singapore is one of the LEAST polluted nations in the world. this country has done a lot to manage pollution. singapore's example demonstrates tat without political will, the problem will only get worse n worse. with political will, any country can clean up its act.

I think the most is Mexico, because of Mexico City which is so bad, and I think the least (developed countries) may be Iceland. But don't take my word for it--
