Will it work to buy a usb keyboard to use adjacent to the laptop?

you can try that or take it to a geek and have them replace the keys but the usb should work just fine

Get a replacement keyboard from eBay or something. They are very easy to replace.
A USB keyboard will work but is a pain in the butt with a laptop.

Yer you can buy a keybord just ot plg in. Usally USB 2 is more compatible.
Otherwise depending on your laptop make and model you could replace the keyboard.

yes, you can use an usb keyboard or a regular one with an usb adapter, I use one for larger keyboard.
