Asking him, as someone advised, is the safest. However, not everyone tells the truth and you may not want to ask for fear of insulting the person- it's sort of like asking "are you an Arab or a Jew" .
Sometimes it is an earring in left ear is straight and right ear is gay. But, two earrings does not always mean bisexual!
Also, for the gay men who want to be women there are mannerisms. And, these are the ones who love women. The mannerisms thing doesn't seem to work well in certain regions. There is an overlap between southern male manners and gay manners!
Then there are the gay men who are the men in the couple. These are hard to identify. In general they hate women and probably men too. I think that this is why they are gay.
If you are a woman, the biggest danger are bisexuals. Although everyone is by nature bisexual, active male bisexuals are a real danger to women both emotionally and disease-wise.
If you are a woman and think he's gay because he doesn't try to kiss you it may be he's just timid. I thought my husband was gay when I first met him. He was just a nice guy!

In this technology enriched society we find ourselves in, there will always be perplexities. Therefore, any answer may or may not meet your expectations. But in the real world, it is easy to just ask. If the person is insulted, he may bust you. But if you are gay, wear a gay pride shirt or hat. If the guy is gay, he will tell you.

they don't talk the same or walk the same and gay guys like to hang around more girls thin straight guys.
