On several occasions I have had command of my dreams. The other night I had a whole string of them. ( I awoke feeling I had been awake the whole time.)Some were fairly mundane, but one was pretty extraordinary. I have my own views on this. I was just curious what you people might have to say.

Well it has many meanings - one that you are very controlling and you want things to go your way - this can be considered a good trait too - for ie lets say in part of your dream you are hurt so then you manipulate the dream that it happens again but this time you foresee the problem and you are not hurt.

this means you are a problem solver and you want to be in control of your life and not let things happen as they come - this is good and bad - because we all know that know one is in complete control of their lives

I have read that doctor's say that dreaming is your unconsious mind working out the problems of your day or the emotions that you are going through. I appreciate the dreams that are wonderful and I feel like I am really there. I have not had a lucid dream for a long time. I believe it just reflects a deeper sleep. But that's just my opinion, I am not an expert in this field.

Consider yourself lucky! I have been reading about and experimenting with lucid dreams, but up to now I've not been able to consciously direct them. Personally, I don't see any significance in them as far as how they might affect your waking life. I just think it would be fun to direct your own dreams, like your own personal video game!

I use them sometimes to face my fears. If I know I'm dreaming, I can sometimes direct the outcome, but not usually. They are usually mundane, though.
