hi there,
yep i think the weather is having a bit of a turn lol,its been extreemly hot for this time of the year in the uk, not that i mind, but its been such a dry heat, just really zaps the energy levels out of you,its all to do with climate change so they say, apparently even some places like mosco, have had really hot weather and they are stunned by it all, as there used to snow all the time.
we are supposed to be getting hotter and hotter summers and really bad winters according to the metologists readings.
we broke the hottest day recently since 1911 for temperatures, im not sure where its all heading, but i know this country just cant cope with the heat, its affecting trains as the temps rise in the undergrounds and the air is restricted people are passing out.
i dont personally think your escape it where ever your move, yeah it might be alittle cooler unless you go abroad to move , somehwere thats allways cool or cold lol, but there again its not guaranteed with all this global warming, they reckon you can even see from space with heat seeking technology how hot the uk is, as its showing up so red.
mind you its abit cooler here today in essex uk thank god.
take care.
ps us brits just arnt used to sun shine lol, where used to it peeing down all the time instead, where never satisfied lol, where all be moaning how cold it is in the winter he he.

climate change, aka global warming.
I was looking for the Tyndall Centre's graph of recent past and predicted future summer temperatures. Couldn't find it online but I'm sure it's out there. It's fascinating but almost too scary to spend too long looking at.
There will always be variations from one summer to the next. What will change will be the overall average. In 2003, twenty thousand people died in a heat wave in France. That year, the UK got weather that it would normally only get once every thousand years. In maybe forty years time, that will be our AVERAGE weather. And where I live (Scotland) this summer is definitely hotter than that one.
Today's freak weather is tomorrow's norm. You don't want to know what tomorrow's freak weather is like.

I've been thinking the same thing. it's just not normal, is it? We're English, we're not equipped to cope with weather like this! Frankly, it makes me miserable. Insects come out that bite and sting us too. I think it's horrible and I'm just hoping tha we don't have an Indian Summer! Now, that would be bad, very bad. As for global warming................I`m sorry to say that it's no cooler in the middle of the map, but at least we have a breeze today. I think we are all going to be living at the top of the map, cold there.

I'm in the USA, and we had a month long HEAT WAVE that is just now starting to let up. I'm in South California, a town called Riverside, it was 115 last week for 4 days, now we are back to the norm, 90 + or - 2 degrees. Global warming is a problem, but I don't think we should panic yet. We do need to push our politicians to ACT and INVESTIGATE this NOW. I agree totally, and so do many people in the America's, Canada, Mexico and USA. Let's get together!! Ron Couch, USA

I live in the US, and I think global warming is happening. I've been hearing about the heat wave over there. And here, our country's entire weather map was in red on the news for high temperatures! I swear, I've never seen that before! It's awful, I agree with you! It really does make you feel as though you literally can't adapt to it...like you said beyond simply disliking the weather.
Do what you can to keep cool!

It's seeming hotter than usual here In Nevada, too! strange weather were having these days. But I think it's just a natural cycle, that occurs once in a while. It's been over 100 for several days, but much more humid than the desert usualy is.

I lived in Greece and came back to the UK to escape the heat... and now it's colder in Greece and warmer here! The new immigration movement will be for climate purposes! I'd consider Iceland, but I can't stand the endless nights in the winter...

It could be a one-off season of freak weather or it could be the start of a trend ... I'd wait for next summer before making that judgment ... if it is boiling again, then I'd be looking longingly towards Edinburgh
