Does anyone read the Trixie Belden series? They are like Nancy Drew just a little different. They have been around since the late 40's and they are starting to re-produce the books and I was just wondering if anyone besides me has read any of them, is reading them, or has even heard of these books. If you haven't I highly suggest that you do, they good for all ages too!

Yes! I read some of these book's back in the 40's when I was a kid. They do not lose their appeal and can fit in at any time. In other words, timeless. Enjoy your books. I think they are what made me like mysteries, and there all kinds of those. I'm talking genealogy, crimes , history, geography etc.. How many can you name?

I had every single one when I was a kid. They're were several authors of those I think. Kathryn Kennedy and Julie....Cambel? maybe?
I loved them. I could not WAIT to read the next one in the series when I got done with one. I loved Mart & Honey and Jim & Trixie and Mrs Trask. They had such adventures! I loved the one with the cave. They found the glow in the dark fish and such. And I really enjoyed when they met Dan (is it Dan?) the kid that lived on Honey's family property ...way inside the woods. OOH! They were the Bob White club! AH!I can't believe I remember that. It has been almost 30 years since I read them. Wow. But yes. I really really enjoyed them and would love to read them again if I could find them. I wish I still had mine.
Brian...that was Trixies oldest brother, right?
hm...I've got to get a hold of these and re read...it'll just be TOO FUN!
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane! :)
I hope you are enjoying these books as well. Sounds like you are. Save them. When you grow up you can reread them or give them to your little girl to read. I wish so much I still had mine. Can't find 'em in stores anywhere.

Was Trixie into horses? and solved mysteries on her ranch? I used to read them back in the seventies. I don't know if the books are being updated. I thought they were great back then, but they might seem dated today, like Nancy Drew and her "roadster".

I used to read them - the Bobwhites! I had 4 or 5 of them that my Mom gave me (I think it was her) along with her Nancy Drews (know that was her), Great books.

My daughter grew up in the seventies and she read every one. I didn't know these books were still around.
