If people are secretive, then they have something to hide. If they have something to hide, it can't be good, so you don't want to be their friends.
That being said, if you still want to be friends, just say hello to them whenever you see them, and leave it at that. Make it seem that you are a mysterious person. Curiosity will attract them to you. "Playing hard to get" works in friendships too, not just relationships.

Is it possible for you to use whole words instead of just letters for certain words? It's so annoying and it shows real immaturity.
To answer your question: You don't. I think you must have a certain amount of candidness to be able to cultivate a real friendship with someone. Just move on.

this is possible becuse i was one and i have friends, the way to actually do this is to approach them and talk with them becuse they wont talk to you unless you two develop a convo together. yes ther is a way , so dont have doubt . i was secretive and to myself all the time till i became more open to others. it also can take time so be patient and understanding.they eventually will sprout.

generally those who are secretive are good friends...because they dont let out anything ....its quite tough to get then friendly...but once they are...they are well trusted...it needs a good heart to make such friends..

BE FRIENDLY AND HELP THAT PERSON AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. DON'T BE RUDE OR UNKIND TOWARDS THEM. ONCE THEY BECOME FRIENDS WITH YOU, THEY ARE FRIENDLY AND MORE OPEN. THESE KIND OF PEOPLE PREFER TO BE WITH ONE OR TWO PERSONS (WHO PAY ATTENTION TO THEM) THAN A GROUP.
