why does the phone company charge you? You arent talking to anyone on the phone? And you are not on the phone because of your free will, but because the customer service people are incompetent enough to be able to answer the phone fast?

This question causes memories to become as vivid as the clearness of the day. But with that said, I will tell you a customer service employee is over worked and under paid. The answer is most businesses place new persons in those jobs.

First of all if you are put on hold at customer service that means there are A LOT OF UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS

Second - It means that the company does not want to hire enough people to handle the needs of the department.

Third - It shows you just how much the company really cares about YOU the customer.

NOT AT ALL - THEY CARE ABOUT YOUR CASH AND ONCE THEY HAVE IT THEY NEVER WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN !

Well its like anything else ....you signed a contract ... you agreed to pay certain toll charges... Now you can alleviate this great financial burden by seeing if the company you're trying to contact has a 1800 toll free number... most do .... If not ... get an unlimited long distance package from the phone company ... then you can happily hold all day for hours and hours ..... and not pay anymore for it .... this usually outweighs the charges for long cumbersome hours of holding for someone to talk to you ...

thank you,
