Why don't racist people get a little orange dot put their heads so everyone else can see they are like that!

If they put a dot on their heads I would not hit on them if they were girls. All us open and multicultural people would see the dot and say, "Oh there goes a racist person, leave them alone". Danceclubs would much safer then. If I went into a dance club and I was the only person there with any color; All the people there would just turn around so I could see the little orange dot smile at me ans sorry...but we only want our kind here. That would rock.....just a dream, just a dream.

My point is I would not really have to get my feelings hurt by thinking I was accepted when I really never had a chance.

NO they would all do this voluntarily so all the other wouldn't actually feel......wanted.
I mean if I walked into a restuarant and the server had her little dot she could just show me and say " I will have another server right over",

I'm saying this primarily about about white people who don't want blacks around!
If I come to your community to buy a house or I looked at wife, daughter, or sister like more than 1/8 of a second you could show me your little orange dot and I would completely understand that there is no reasoning with you because you hate me and that's okay.....................I would just move to another community or ask someone else out on a date or better yet........stick to my own kind.............

Dude I completely know what your feeling. Not only am I what America calls mixed (White and Mexican) but I am also married to a black woman. If I could just identify the racists I could turn around and walk away without any altercation instead of a racist making a comment how they hate Mexicans or black people and I get pissed because both of which I am a part of.

The problem is that most people who are racist don't think they are. They know that being racist is bad, but they consider their prejudice against blacks as 'common sense.' It's not that their black, and their not racist, but it's just common sense. So any volunteer program wouldn't catch them. I mean, you could have some kind of standardized testing to find them out, but it would ruin the spirit of America, then, to imply that they have to wear an orange dot b/c of their test scores. I feel for you plight, but racism is not something that will be cured with orange dots, just a heavy dose of mass education, and good luck getting George W. to pay for that!

Yeah, let's go back to the days of the Jew-star. That worked out reeeeeally well!

I know what you mean, but that's just giving up on everyone. Racists can change over time. I've never been a racist, but have relatives who've come around and accepted people of other colors and cultures.

This dot would do more harm than good. It would perpetuate the notion that people of different colors are so different that it must be accepted that they must be forever separate.

Racism sucks, but it has to die out on its own. You can't force it.

Its all in the eye of the beholder. I feel like no one wants the white girl around. I was in St. Louis and had to stop for gas. I went in and was waiting in line and noticed a big butt black girl giving me the evil eye!! Then I looked around and I was the only white person there. Point being, She is the one who made a situation based on my color. I don't see color, I see a nation who is in no way UNITED! We don't give a **** about anyone but ourselves. We waste to much time on hatred and religion and labels. I have friends from around the globe that have different back grounds yada yada. EVERYONE EATS,BREATHES,POOPS AND DIES THE SAME WAY! WHY WASTE TIME AND FIGHT? THE HUMAN RACE HAS PUT SUCH A LIMIT ON ITSELF. THERE IS NO REASON WE SHOULD HAVE HOMELESS PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY. STOP WHINING...that is the worst. I was discriminated just because I was 25lbs overweight! we all get discriminated at some point! ITS WHAT YOU DO WITH THE LESSON LEARNED. I would have gone off on the server or asked for management. maybe she was getting off soon, or you stunk!

Why would you not move into a house to suit racists? Blacks in the 1960's KNEW the suburbs they were moving into were racist and that they were unwanted. They didn't live there to make friends. They moved into these areas because governments were turning their old towns into freeway expansions, because they had more money and could provide a better life for themselves, or because their old areas became dangerous.

Racism sucks, I know. I can't relate on certain levels, because I'm white, but I can acknowledge that being a minority with a class of people who hate you is irritating as hell/dangerous. But don't compromise your own life to suit racists. Shove it in their face. You meet a hick that thinks all black people should be lynched? Make it known that you make more money then them, or that your car is nicer, or whatever. It's a free country, almost.

I always find it somewhat funny when I meet people, and my name is super irish, and I'm super pale white, I look just like a normal majority white christian american, and I'll meet someone's friends or family who don't know me. And sometimes, there will be that one antisemite who HATEEESSS the jews. And that's when my fun begins.

That means that your acting like a racist and a prejudice person... What should really be done is that every child on this planet should be taught to respet other people no mather what skin colour or appearance they have, if not by his parent than in school, for example since firdt grade.
Racism and prejudice are taught from generation to generation while you are young. No person that becomes an adult without being told to hate another cultural group will come to believe in and do such a thing.
If you want a solution as idealistic as yours I think you should consider mine, because this one CAN happen and it will have more effect if it does.

HAahhaha you're funny. :-D
ok.. listen... if you're just looking for a marker to distinguish racist from non-racist.. sorry to squelch the 'uniqueness' of your concept... but people already have done that... in Germany at least.. they have this 'scalped' look -- thats how you know they're against non-whites. There.. happy now? :-) Now can I have 10points for educating you? ;-)
As for the others... I don't know if all the racists out there would agree to an orange dot.. some of them are pretty fashion --or is it fascist--??! -- conscious... but hey -- no law against wishful thinkin, is there?
Cheers!

That is a very interesting suggestion...I was raised in a multicultural family (one black uncle and cousin, one native american cousin...) so I really can't understand racism.

Your idea reminds me of a "Twilight Zone" episode where this guy had a hole burned into his head to "brand" him because of something he did. Even if he put on a hat the hole would burn right through it so no one else would ever talk to him as they knew by looking at him what he had done. It seemed like a good idea to me!

this is a fascinating idea and i like it....however most racists are not willing to accomodate others (by wearing the dot) and some racists do not know or refuse to believe they are racist so you need more dots.....

definitely racist dot
i might be racist dot
i'm not a racist! (but really is one) <---denial dot
open-minded dot

i'll let you pick the colors....
