This is the topic that I have got for my debate. I dont even know whether i should be speaking for the motion or against. I'll be grateful if anyone could help.

....in short science is actually for career, but to achieve excellence in science is actually to serve the humanity better...
but everything has both positive and negative impacts....

It seems that you're trying to weight the pros and cons of each. Why don't you first try to identify their respective pros and cons, then evaluate what's better? Or if this is a topic to be taken as one, try to explain the relationship between the two. Good luck!
