i keep downloading stuff to my computer, and every thing i have downloaded, is not there. even when it says its downloading to my desktop, (like it has in the past-and ive been able to install) nothings there. whats wrong, and what can i do? i dont know whats going on, but iam not even getting my answers from yahoo q and a. could someone please email me the answers? sistertobin@yahoo.com

Search the Settings or option or something similar of your programm (Sometimes are in EDIT>properties>(preferences) or in tools >(options) Search a tab settings or something similar and verify the default location Sometimes the downloader create b default a directory called Download in the root directory of your system (for example C:\\Download C> Download).
Verify there.

Keep in mind to find very simple download and write down its name, after finished you star to search it by the name you written down. if it show nothing. try to scan you disk for virus in safe mode.
to go to safe mode, just restart your machine and press F8 Function at top key of your keyboard. and choose Safe Mode.
scan it.

I really don't know what could be ur problem... it could be a virus... try to re-install your Operating System...
