I am 37 years old and please honestly tell me if this is to childish....?

I have these nieghbors. ( no that would not be a good word, neighbors are suppose to be friendly) Anyway they never had kids. And they do not like kids. They are around my age. When they found out I was buying the house next to them, they told my brother to tell me not to buy the house because they have three pit bulls or some other mean dog. They were trying to scare me since my daughter was young at the time. Anyways, they have the local police and 911 on speed dial. Last summer my nephwes who are 8 and 10 would come over and mow, my lawn. My sister and I would be out there supervsing. every time my nephews mowed they called the police. And the police said nothing illegal about them mowing. But since the complaint was filled he had to come over. Well finally a couple cops came over a couple months later and asked me to please not have my nephews mow the lawn because they were sick of hearing the lady complain. And they felt bad for always having to come over. wait there is more.

They mowed once a week. So I finally had them stop mowing. So then they called social service on me and said that I was running an illegal day care with out a lisence. So a report was filed about that. The thing is I have this nice big wooden play set with the tree fort and big yellow slide. So I would have friends and thier kids over. We would sit outside and watch them. Well I was not running a day care so no charges could be made. But the neigbors kept calling saying I had to many kids in my yard for the size of my yard. I have a huge yard. Well social service told them I was doing nothing wrong. I also have a swimming pool. It 18x24 feet and four or five inches deap. Never once was any child left unattened in pool. The adults always sat around and pool and watched. So they called social service and child protection saying I had way to many kids in the pool with no adult in the pool. All these kids were ages 7 and up, and we were right by the pool. wait there is more.

so they finally gave up on the pool issue. So then one day my nephew had a plastic toy pocket knife and was cutting into one of my trees. She came out and said she was going to turn him in for wrecking trees. Well then I get a family pet a dog. I would let the dog out to go to the bathroom and clean up the messes. well they called the cops and said that i had the dog outside without food and water for more then five minutes and that was abuse. so the city pound came and took the dog. I had to pay big bucks to get it back. My family was over and told the pound it was just let out to use bathroom. well al complaint was filled so dog was taken away. One night I was up after midnight and let him out to use bathroom. The next day the pound came again to take the dog because I had him outside with no shelter or place to sleep. He only went to the bathrooom. So I had enough and I got on the phone and told her to mind her own ******* buisness. The police tried to talk to them, and.......

they refused to stop. So then they filled a complaint with the city that my grass was to long and was not even with theres. I have had the cops over here more times because of them. So then I went out of town for the weekend. Had a friends son come over four times a day and let him out and feed him. Got home and there was a ticket on the door because I left a dog at home unattented. I called the officer and he goes yes I saw the food and water. But they would not stop calling. So they waived
the ticket. My sister told me I should poison their dogs. But I would not do that. So another time some kids were running by my house and fell down and skinned the ones knee and was bleeding. I did not know. i was not home. So they called the police and said I had friends kids at my house unatented bleeding and they had no band aids. No clue who the kids were. Later on I found out they were camping at the campground down the street. Due to my health the dog is gone. I need revenge. I need I ideas.

and their is more my garage is in the back of my house quite a distance. I had surgery and could not walk far. and can not park on roads in winter. So my mom said pull your car up on lawn in front. Well they filled a complaint about that. every christmas they decorate their yard. with lights, manger seens, all of those blow up things. I a friend suggested taking tampons and put them in food coloring and hang them from the snow man and santas. Oh and a friend of mine who is black came to visit and we hung out. Just friends. Well the lady next door had to call my sisters mother in law and tell her that I had a black man spend the night at my house and that my mom needed to know right away. so my sisters mother in law calls my mom, she was out of town on buisness to tell her I had a black man at my house. It just does not stop.. Oh and they tried to charge me litering their yard with beer cans and cigerette buts and empty pack and I do not smoke. Then they found a pregnancy test in their

and called the cops to say I was littering. so they told it all over town i was pregnant by the black guy. We never had sex he was a friend. and the pregnancy kit box was not mine. I have a huge record at the police station with all of these complaints. so here is my plan. my aunt has a hobby farm with huge dogs that bark. so she is going to make me a tap of barking dogs. and i am going to play it in the porch one night so they can hear it. and the police will come and I will go what, I dont have any dogs come in and see. They have filled reports of my dog barking, when they dog was not even home. He was in the car with me. sorry this is so long. but I am fed up and i hate to move because of them. what should i do.........

my mom has been begging me to file harrasment charges. Well our lawns meet. and now they will mow half of my yard so their yard looks mowed. I do mow. just not when they do. my mom said to press tresspassing charges on them. ok i think i am done....

and i was putting on the thanksgiving meal for the community dinner. For those who had no where to go. It was always held at the place she managed. So I called to tell her I would be doing the dinner and needed the kitchen and dining hall. she told me no she already rented it out to somone one out of town. so i called the comander of this club and she and her husband got their *** chewed. and was told that since was the manager she would be down their helping with the meal and taking orders from me, that I was in charge. So then they call a meeting with all the members. and said we dont like her and that is why she is not having the community dinner here. They said if I was not allowed she was fired. So the day before and thanksgiving day I was in charge. and they were told if they were not nice to me or bossed me around that she would be fired.

Your question is very long ,,but i have to say that i think you are being a bit childish if you let her and her husband dicate how you live your life,,and if you play games with her and not do something about this harressment your not much better then her ..You should listen to your mother and file a complaint at the local court house so they have something on file about her unreasonable behavior ,,,,and hun theres no reason to act like her in anyway its just going to belittle you and make her feel she is right in her complaints ,,kill her with kindness ,try and sit down with her and honestly try and work something out but do it with someone with the authority to keep both of you talking and not another silly argument ,,,a separate person like a preacher ,,religious or not they can hopefully keep you from killing her ..

What seems to be the real problem here is the police. They should know better than to let this continually happen. They should know that this couple calls with bogus complaints constantly. And actually they should have done something about that themselves.

If nothing else your local news station may have a Call for Action or something of the sort. You may consider calling them and alerting them to the situation with the neighbors or the situation with the police failing to cite the couple for improper use of the 911 emergency system. Not to mention that filing a false report is illegal. And if there is no follow up on this illegal activity then there has been a failing in the law enforcement system and it is your responsibility to bring it to the attention of others.

Is there a Housing Corporation or anything of the sort for the neighborhood? If so you may contact them with the issue.

If nothing else you can just annoy the hell out of them back. Call in a complaint of dangerous dogs that they do not properly keep trained or restrained and you fear for the safety of your children and others in the neighborhood. Or if you know their first and last names you can sign them on address lists for junk mail if you're feeling particularly vicious. But I wouldn't exactly suggest those until all else has failed.

ADD kicked in and I forgot one thing. There is also legal action you can take. You have enough grounds to file a Harrassment suit if you can obtain copies of the police reports and the follow-ups indicating that there was no fountation for legal action. As well as copies of the findings of the Social Services. I'm certain there are probably other forms of legal action you can take, though I'm not fully familiar with all the workings of these sorts of things.

Finally you may consider placing small, inconspicuous cameras around the outside of your house at key points such as facing your front yard, the side of the house where their house is and looking over the children's play set. That way you have video proof of what is happening at your house. And they don't need to be super high tech. Just functional. As for them mowing your yard, you might consider having the Surveyor over to plot out EXACTLY where your yard ends. Get that confirmed on paper and then consider the cost of fencing in your yard. That way they can't mow your lawn and you have proof of it being -your- property and NOT theirs to mow.

Wow, I thought I was the only one that had crack pots like this around. I had to move from the last place I lived b/c of this kind of harassment. The landlord made me move, despite the fact that this woman harassed everyone who lived in the apartment, which was above hers. I was very angry about the whole deal and didn't feel I should be the one to move but had to anyway. And I got the same from the police, which was nothing, except one wouldn't even listen and chewed me out. My infraction that time was I had the TV on to loud. I don't know what to tell you, it's not fair but a lot of things in life aren't. I am sorry for you and you may have to end up moving. And as much as I wanted, I refrained from doing anything to her. As soon as you do the cops will be back and since they are tired of dealing with this you can bet they are waiting for first blood so they can make an arrest. Gather all these reports and false accusation together, photo copy everything. Take it to a lawyer, you have a great case for harassment and maybe more. the lawyer can send them a very official looking warning to leave you alone or you will sue. If that doesn't work, sue the bastards. Get the local news in on it, those "help the little guy" type stories are popular. Some reporter might like doing a story on a person being harassed by his neighbors and can prove he did nothing wrong.

I'd contact a lawyer. They are lieing to police officers about actions, making your life extremely difficult, and you could take them to court- or at least threaten it.

I love threatening legal actions, when people know they f-ed up, they usually stop dead in their tracks.

No, it's not childish. I used to have neighbors that were pure evil. Their tree branched on to our yard, and we asked them to trim it. They said they wouldn't and we finally did it. Then they called the cops because we "destroyed their property."
