Of course the Israelis are wrong! And you know what makes me angry, the fact that Canada's Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, took a pro-Israel stance as opposed to being neutral like we were before. Also, he said that Israel's attacks on Lebanon were "measured." Well if he thinks having 500 000 Lebanese displaced, 40 000 Canadians stranded in Lebanon and over 600 people dead is "measured," then it just shows what kind of person he is. What we should all do now is protest and try to force our governments to have a cease-fire immediately!
Stephen Harper shame on you,
the Arabs are people too!

Hezbollah is fully controlled by Iran and Syria, doesn't have much to do with people of Lebanon. So, Israel and Syria are having a nice little shootdown on the territory of Lebanon, killing their civilians. Syria doesn't care, because during Cedar Revolution (2005) their army got kicked out of the country as well as pro-Syrian government - so now Lebanon is paying the price of showing their independence (Syria is trying to show Lebanon what happens when they are without Syria) Israel is getting rid of competition, it will take 10 years again to rebuild Lebanon. Plus, Israel might occupy part of the country, of course for safety reasons, and send some settlers there...This is one of the worst and most unjustified wars I have ever seen.

Israel has the right to defend itself against the daily rocket attacks carried out by Hezbollah.
However, simply bombing Lebanon into a pile of rubble isn't a justified solution as all it does, as other posters have pointed out, kill civiliians rather than anything else.
Hezbollah are still firing their rockets into Israel. Israel are still bombing Lebanon. And innocent people are dying in the middle.
But hey, unlike our European allies, intsead of trying to push for a ceasefire, the good old USA is going to give Israel precision-guided missles instead, so that they can at least kill civilians with pinpoint accuracy.
And people wonder why half the Muslim World hates the US.

Hi - Fully agreed with what you say from the Humanitarian point of view.
But, under the existing circumtances it is right for Israel to attack the Hizbollah for right reasons. Here, the numbers involved dont count anymore and its rather the attitude and behaviour of the Hizbollah Group to get involved with Israelis...
When all peace measures fail, as what happened in this case, Israelis had no other choice but to send their troops to put the neighbourhood in order...

Yup it's totally wrong, attacking over three soldiers it wrong. Especially taking into account that Israel has never had any other reason to become so hostile. They have never been provoked before, I'm not sure what's up with them.

Can you say meat shield? Who is more evil, the person who shoots and kills a terrorist through the head of an innocent person or the guy standing behind his human shield?
How would the cops in the US respond if your neighbor kidnapped your child, holding them at gunpoint? They'd storm the place and kill the guy so fast.
Lebanon acted. Israel reacted. They started it. Israel will end it.

Israel is wrong, but not for that reason. They shouldn't even be there in the first place.
Read up on the Sykes-Picot Agreement from after WWI. That was the start of tall of this crap,

No, it's not Lebanon's fault. It's Hezbollah's fault. However, both sides are wrong and have been wrong for generations... at least, that's my opinion...
