Solve

(3a+1*3a+1*3a+1)-(2a-1*2a-1*2a - 1)

Simplifying,

(3a+3a+3a+1)-(2a-2a-2a-1)

= (9a+1)-(-2a-1)

= 9a+1+2a+1

= 11a+2

(Yahoo Answers has an interesting away of eating up repeated patterns, vary the pattern will prevent this, like putting in some spaces).

If you're asking about simplifying (3a + 1)^3 - (2a -1)^3, then answer is 19a^3 + 39a^2 + 3a + 2
