Accept that he doesn't want to marry you. Then you can decide if you want to continue a relationship with him, though to me, it sounds like you want more from him than he wants to give and that never ends well.

Have you any idea what an ego boost it is for a 48 year old man to have a 24 year old woman on his arm? He's in this for the fun.

But, if you do want a relationship with him, think on this. You are 24 and he is 48. That's OK now because he's active and you are making him feel like superman at the moment. BUT, when you are 34, he's 58. When you are 44, he is 68. You are in your prime and he's getting on a bit! You can't grow old with this guy, because when you are 70, he's 94.

And what do you talk about? You can't remenisce together because he was an adult when you were born. There are 6 years between my partner and myself and even that makes such a difference when talking about things like TV programmes, the price of things, music and groups etc.

It's time to move on I think.

Find someone closer to your own age. He has already told
you that he won't marry you. Why waste time on a relationship
that is doomed from the start. Don't even think of getting pregnant. He just in it for the fun. Don't waste the best years
of your life with someone who might dump you for an older
woman without blinking.

You deserve more than someone who's just doggin' you around.
He's probably older than your father. What will it be like in 20
years when you're in your sexual prime and still a fox and he's
68 and needs a hip replacement? (Just kidding!)

Find yourself another guy. Date someone who is serious about
you and with similar goals and values. Grampa has insulted you enough.

Good luck.

How important is marriage to you? Many people simply do not want to get married. Besideswhich, can't you two love each other without having to say the vows and all that? Have respect for his wishes.

Thats not an excuse....If a man truly loves you...he will marry you and no excuses will keep him from doing that....
Nowadays women marry men 20 years their junior so...
Talk to him see were he stands in all this...and depending on that you have to make a decision..either stay together or move on and be with a man who wants to marry you..

The man has said no, it doesn't matter what the reason is.
If he wanted to marry you, he would. Let him be how he is. He is wise enough to know what the problems would be.

Look for another guy. Or be content without getting married to him. Stop asking him, He told you no. get over it

If you think that marriage is important to you and you want to get married but he does not, then put a stop to the relationship. If you think you can just be with him in a relationship then carry on.

If you don't want to be with him unless you're wed you probably don't have a snowballs chance in hell. In the 40's age group they are set in there ways. Good Luck
