Absolutely. Not only are the books on the shelf perfectly straight, but they're also in numerical order.

My bed is made, the clothes are off the floor, and the trash is in the can.

All I need to do is spray some nice room "smell good" in order to have the most perfect room in the universe.

perfectly straight? no.......thats not NEAT. thats called OCD.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, OCD, is an anxiety disorder and is characterized by recurrent, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and/or repetitive behaviors (compulsions). Repetitive behaviors such as handwashing, counting, checking, or cleaning are often performed with the hope of preventing obsessive thoughts or making them go away. Performing these so-called "rituals," however, provides only temporary relief, and not performing them markedly increases anxiety

My wife's side of the room looks like a department store furniture display. Mine, on the other hand, is about as organized as John Kerry's campaign

yep. at my house, the books are in height order and my dvds and cds are alphabetized. i have some kind of obsession with swiffer products, febreeze, and vacuum cleaners. all canned goods are in height order as well ... like items are stacked so i can see them more clearly. it gets worse, but you're not a shrink and i'd rather not have my OCD exposed any longer.

cripes.

Not even close. I don't have time to be neat. I'm too busy trying to find stuff in the chaos.
