Its not Western nations that are dividing "other" nations. Its the "other" nations inability to stand united themselves. The blame is not external, but should be internalized. When Sunni and Shiite can live together in peace, then the nations they live in can stand stronger.

Divide and conquer. If weaker nations can be kept off-balance by internal strife/external conflicts, its easier for the world powers to exert control over them.

Of course to rule and exploit the poor! But is is nto West or East question, it is question of wrong and right. Quran says very clearly that they will fight with you united and unless you fighty them united there will be a bloodshed and destruction etc. The thing is that we must not be foolded by their propagenda ie. 9/11, WMDs, Hezbollah,, all excuses to attck poor human beings.
