America has done more for the rest of the world than all other countries combined. All we get in return is whining and insults. Why do we do it? Why do other countries come crying to us when they have problems?

Because we are more forgiving and understanding than the rest of those jerks.

The U.S. does NOT bail out the rest of the world. They decide other people's governments for them. Read up on U.S. involvement in South and Central America and the School of the Americas, or how we've been keeping a despised dynasty in power in Saudi Arabia. The U.S. trained and armed the Taliban to fight against the Soviet Union and provided aid to Saddam Hussein when we wanted him strong against Iran.

Yes, the U.S. has done more than all other countries combined, at least in the last 50 years. They've done far more harm and destruction.

Because as a world superpower they have the responsibility of looking out for those who can't help themselves. We do it because when we don't the question comes "Why didn't America help out? Guess it didn't further their agenda" and when we do it's "stop sticking your nose in, we don't want you".
Perhaps America should call in all the loans, and aid monies and never stick "our noses" in again.
As for why do other countries come to us when they have problems - well my analogy to that is when you need money you turn to the people that will give you money (Hey mom, need $20). Because they know we're going to come and dig them out of the rubble and they can continue to be Anti American and slam America as much as they can. Mostly because they know we're never going to ask for our money back, we'll find some way that they can return the favor. No country is beholden or made to feel beholden to the United States. We extend our hand in friendship and usually pull back a bloody nub, and yet we extend the other hand to you.
We try to think what's the right thing to do in this situation, but somehow even when what we did IS the right thing, we're wrong.
So to answer your question, because we a country of people that care about the rest of the world, and want to help out. The only problem is that it's viewed as "ulterior motives" and an unwelcomed intrusion on their business.

Whether other countries want to admit it or not, America is the best. Sure we have shortcomings, but which country doesn't. We help others because we are the strong that protect the weak. Those that have the power to do right, also have the obligation. It is not possible to please everyone and we can be told we're doing it for "our own interests" or "we like dabbling into other's business", but its our obligation. In general the people in South Korea appreciate it, the people in Iraq appreciate it, the victims of the tsunami's appreciate it, the earthquake victims in Nepal appreciate it, the older generation of French that can remember when the German's invaded appreciate it, the Poles appreciate it, and many, many others. Its easy to criticize someone that is actually doing something. Its easier than jumping in and trying to help make a difference themselves.

So you believe no other country is asked to help America fight their fights. Think of all the Australians fighting in Iraq. How many times have we stood with America in battle. Go read some history books on the subject.
Americans do not act alone, do you guys study world history at school or just American history? A lot of you know nothing that goes on beyond your own shores.

Bush is number 2 Terrorist of the World, Israel of course is number 1 and Blair is number 3 and so on. These are all Grave, Global Ghunda Terrorists. They know well that 9/11 is done by Zionists in USA and Israel but they blame OBL who had actually condemned the attack. Since Taliban had totally stopped heroin traffic (Trillion dollar business from Afghanistan), there wer convulsions in dug mafia controlled by Zionists (like all other ills e.g. alcohol, lottery, interest, poron etc.) WMDs were created to attack Iraq to expand Israeli territory and fetch oil etc. Hezbollah is an Israeli child. It is world Wrestling match to give excsue to detory and occupy Lebanon. USA government under direct orders of Sharon has invaded Iraq and Afghnaistan and dropped more uranium than Hiroshima and Nagasaki comined by Uranium or Silver bullets.

America does not bail out the rest of the world. It protects its own interests, full stop, and is ruining the rest of the world in doing so. THAT is why there is so much anti-americanism.

Britain and Spain have done more for the rest of the world, dear. America is just a newcomer who happens to love fiddling with everyone else's interests.

America? What about Britain? France? Austrailia? Canada? Germany? Everyone blames the US for everything, and except for Britain, none of these other western nations gets any condemnation, when these other nations are right there beside the US, except for maybe the French, who wouldn't know a good thing if they saw it!

uh, do you call killing about a million civilians in iraq "helping"?

especially when there were no weapons of mass destruction and iraq had nothing to do with bin laden or 9/11?

do you call ripping nations in half, such as korea, "doing something for them"?

i sure hope america never comes to bail ME out.

While I wouldn't agree with your assertion of superiority, the reasons always come down to money. We HAD it. They wanted us to pay.

I like this analogy...

US = Rich, not-too-birght guy
Rest of world = Lovely young woman in sexy outfit.

Woman tries to entice guy.
Guy takes woman on shopping trip, dinner, show, etc.
Woman slaps guy's hands with "What kind of girl do you think I am?"

The good news? The woman is beginnng to think she likes Chinese guys instead. ;-)
