Israel planned the recent attack on Lebanon for at least one year. The abduction of two Israeli (Not necessarily Jewish) soldiers is mere drama to give an excuse to attack Lebanon and destroy all its infra structure. Hezbullah is like:
* 9/11 to create an excuse to attack Afghansitan and restore trillion dollar heroing trafficking for the underground drug mafia
* WMDs (Weapons of mass destruction) to attack Iraq. Those who did not find the WMDs like David Kelly was murdered in London!

Israel also deliberaely attacked USS Liberty killing 34 US marines and seriosuly wounding 200 (Visit USSliberty.org) and also knew before hand killing of 200 uSA marines in Beirut and did nothing!!! Israel also stole uranium from Pennsylvania to make over 300 atomic bombs and killed Kennedy when he tried to stop Israeli nuclear weaponary. Also please do not forget notorious Levon affair where Israel killed foreing tourists in Egypt and blamed Muslims. Instead of being ashamed israel erected a mounment in the "honor" of the terrorist. And do not forget Shatilla and Sabira camp massacre by Sharon in which 3000 women and children (un-armed) were killed. And then Nobel Peace prize for the killers. Begin who killed hundreds of citizens of Lebanon was decorated with Nobel Peace Prize. After receiving the Prize he again went on spree of killing civilians in Lebanon through aerial attacks.

While the logic of your explanation is compelling, I don't see how you jump to the conclusion implied by your question.
You give Israel far too much credit and far too little to Syria and Iran.
