Most definately yes, some meds used to treat hypertension can interfere with erections. Talk to your doc, they can't help if they don't know you need it. There are many different, effective meds they can use, but they need to decide, based on your health situation and needs.
Trivia; Viagra was actually first developed as a blood pressure med. At the end of trials some of the male test participants didn't want to turn their remaining supply back in..

last night.... had a loooong day at work on my feet for 9 hours, not enough people available to relieve me for a break. go pick up my kids from mom's house, she took them home to their dad's house because I was a few minutes late. the kids were fighting and being loud. came home, the cat had crapped on the throw rug on the floor. I didn't know it until I stepped in it with only socks on my feet. I had been so busy the last week and a half that I haven't had time to do anything, so I had two dishwasher loads of dishes, a ton of laundry to do, scooped out the litter box, took the trash out, etc. I was mad for a long while last night. It took eating a Butterfinger candy bar and following it with a glass of red wine and coming on Yahoo Answers to get me in a slightly better mood. I'll probably end up in a crabby mood today because I have so much to do and we're getting a snow and ice storm this weekend. I HATE snow. Maybe I should move out of Michigan. :)

Dear fox murder:
Yes it depends on the medicine.
Most common culprits are beta blockers (propanolol, pindolol, timolol), Hydralazine derivatives, sometimes nifedipine and amliodipne.
However, diuretics such as furosemide, or Clorotalidone,(Hygroton) as well as the so called ACE inhibitors such as captopril, ramipril enalapril etc do not cause such effect.
Have you asked this question to the prescribing doctor?
I would if I were You
Sincerely

yes that's the first thing blood pressure medicine kills, if you can change your diet drastically (under your doctors supervision) by cutting out sugars and refined carbs, eating fresh greens, protein good carbs you should be able to lower or get off blood pressure medicine.otherwise you're only choice is to take more medicine for your impotence..............good luck!

Unfortunately that is one of the side effects of blood pressure medications. Antidepressants will do that too.
