First of all you have to relax. Lower back pain is normal if you are pregnant. How far along are you? That will help to answer properly.
OK if you are a few days from your due date then it could be back labor, or false labor. Don't forget you have a decent sized baby putting pressure on your pelvic area and back. I think you should try to relax. My cousin had the same problem and they kept sending her home b/c it was false labor. Take a bath, and if the pain is still there in the morning, or your water breaks then go to the hospital. Other then that you'll be fine!! Congrats and good luck!!!

Sounds like you could be going into labor. If the pain is really, really bad it could be back labor. Your baby could be facing the wrong way and putting a lot of pressure on your tailbone. If that is the case you could be having contractions and not even be able to time them because the back labor pain can be constant.
If I were you I'd get to a phone or neighbor immediately and call your husband, doctor, and an ambulance. If the baby is stuck in the wrong position it could be in distress. Don't mean to scare you but seriously, you need to go to the hospital.

Wow is there a doctor in the house??? Yep all these folk above me!!! How and Why did you allow yourself to get in this predicament without a sure fire plan!!! You can buy a prepaid cell phone and use it just for emergencies like this!! If you're so far along thats what moms are for she or a friend could sleep at your house and be your designated driver if you were to go into labor. I feel that you guys are not thinking of all the possibilities and you're gonna regret it. So get to thinking and get off this damn internet and get to walking to the nearest payphone because you don't know your neighbors to well to throw that fright on them just yet.

Lay down, put your feet up, and wait a bit, if the pains get regular, and are less than ten minutes apart, go to a neighbour and call your hubby, or an ambulance. Chances are, though, that you just overdid with the moving. And when hubby does get home, slap him for not getting you a cellphone.

How pregnant are you? Are you near your due date? Is the pain constant or does it come and go and if so how far apart? It is very normal, especially if you have been busy with moving. Whether it is really a worry or not depends on how close you are. Don't panic even if it is labor you have time!

It's probably Braxton-Hicks contractions, if you haven't lost your mucus plug and your water hasn't broken you might as well just lay down and relax.
Even if you have lost your mucus plug and your water has broken you probably have at least 8 hours to get to the hospital if not more with a first baby....just try to get into the most comfortable position you can and rest.

you dont have a phone, or a car, or any means of communication...but you're on the internet?
if the pain is that bad, try going to a neighbor and asking to use their phone. you may need an ambulance. in that case, most people will help you.
