Do you check your horoscope and view it as a form of entertainment or do you plan your day behind your sign?

Would you alter/change any plans, either daily or long term, if your plans contridicted your horoscope/sign?

Horoscope...entertainment or any degree of merit?

I have never checked my horoscope since I was a young girl in high school. I don't put any stock in horoscopes. I believe that they are psuedo psychology, a trick of writing something so general it can apply to anybody.

I also believe that everything that has happened in my life, good or bad, has purpose. The lessons I learn in life are all according to God's will and plan for me. I live my life by my faith, not the stars.

The thing is, horoscopes tend to say things like this: 'You have a need for other people to like and admire you, and yet you tend to be critical of yourself. While you have some personality weaknesses, you are generally able to compensate for them. You have considerable unused capacity that you have not turned to your advantage. Disciplined and self-controlled on the outside, you tend to be worrisome and insecure on the inside. At times you have serious doubts as to whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing. You prefer a certain amount of change and variety and become dissatisfied when hemmed in by restrictions and limitations. You also pride yourself as an independent thinker and do not accept others' statements without satisfactory proof. But you have found it unwise to be too frank in revealing yourself to others. At times you are extroverted, affable, and sociable, while at other times you are introverted, wary, and reserved. Some of your aspirations tend to be rather unrealistic.' Which of course can apply to almost everyone, but sounds specific enough to make people think that it's some kind of magic. This sort of trickery is called 'Cold Reading' if you want to find out more. So as you can tell, I think they're fake.

I love reading my horoscope everyday. Although, I wait until the end of the day to read it. I figure my day should play out the way it should (I guess you could say fate or destiny) and to impact it or change it because of a horoscope might make things worse. Too much thought involved in "what ifs". Analyzing my horoscope at the end of day lets me see how often it rings true.

I mean come on. If you believe in horoscopes then you believe in things that are pre-destined, right?

I check my horoscope for fun but when i feel like i need an answer, it amaze me that its in the horoscope for the week. I check mine daily and disregard most of it but not always. I do not plan my day behind my sign.

"it is a wise one who rules the stars and a fool who's ruled by them"

There can be some useful information, but I take it with a grain of salt. Many daily forecasts (newspaper/magazine horoscopes and the like) are totally bunk. And the better ones are still pretty basic when used on their own. We are complex in our responses/reactions to the planetary energies around us.

I've found keeping track of what sign the moon is in on a daily basis, and observing myself, has revealed some interesting patterns (for example when the moon is in Sag. I usually feel quite tired - I attribute that to the fact that at that time it is also transiting my natal Neptune). So I've learned to try to schedule more time for rest and meditation during those days.

Hope that is helpful to you!

I check mine for entertainment, I do not put to much on the astronomical side of astronomy, nor do I weigh my day that way or give it to many degrees of merit. I would alter/change the plan.

i see it as entertainment but at the same time i do take note as to what it says ie if it tells me that im going to win money on a saturday night then i will buy a lottery ticket i think it is a good thing to take your horoscope seriously as you should never scorn other peoples belives and for all you know you could end up gaining from it yourself

never check it for entertainment and would not check it and alter any plans based on some generic blurb someone writes, I am sorry but there are more than twelve different types of people in the world, and I am not one of those stereotypical signs, I am who I say I am not what some newspaper dictates I am
