Well, when you look at history and the acceptability of nudity, you can see why people over the general age of 50 are probably going to be more upset than the younger generations. When I was growing up, people had a lot of pride and manners and it wasn't considered good manners to be partially clothed in public, not even at home in the presence of the opposite sex. I don't think it's people in general upset about nudity as much as age groups have different acceptance of it. I'm a baby boomer, born in '46 and I was taught nudity wasn't okay except in the presence of one's spouse. I Love Lucy and other TV shows from years ago even showed the couples sleeping in separate beds, so change doesn't come quickly when we've been conservative. But I see that excessive nudity hasn't helped the younger generations; in fact, it has caused a self-esteem problem with many of our young people who inherently know our private parts are really private and not to be exploited. I don't think females today wish to think they are being exploited because of so many of their peers exposing everything private that they own and it doesn't seem to make any difference who looks. What happens is that people become desensitized to nudity and think nothing of it. Well, our Bible hasn't been rewritten to accommodate our current nudity philosophy, and it isn't going to. Lots of things today are inappropriate, but until parents figure out they haven't taught their children values and to do the right thing, no matter what their peers do. nothing will change. Many parents today don't want to be the "bad guy," and teach appropriate behaviors, consequently creating a world of people who think anything goes and everybody should be doing it. I found a web site about nudity that's interesting, and remember art has always had a lot of nudity in it, which hasn't been considered bad by us old baby boomers. And sometimes it's how we perceive things if we accept nudity any place any time. We also have a lot of laws in place to "cover" (no pun intended) people's sensitivity and to keep people from "exposing themselves." There are people who go to prison for "exposing themselves." So it also involves following the laws. If people don't like the nudity laws, they need to get an education and work at changing them. I know I would not appreciate a person exposing themselves to my children in public, and I would think anybody wouldn't want their kids to have to be exposed to such behaviors. I also don't confuse nudity and sex as being one in the same. I think the younger generations think sex and nudity belong together and they don't. They are totally different concepts.

In the US at least, we're pretty much taught that our private parts are dirty. Which I find quite bizarre.
I don't get upset about nudity, though I must admit I somewhat enjoy upsetting people with mine.

I don't know that they are, Shaggy.
Whatever gave you that idea?
I guess if you were sitting on parliamentary steps naked, you'd get some sort of kick-back, and probably the Long arm of the law take you in, but, generally-speaking, I think most people wouldn't care, as long as you kept it private.
I mean, if you were naked with your girl - right now, I would more likely be very pleased about that than upset. I would encourage you to do all in your power to enjoy one another.
I think most people like to see husband-wives naked, as one flesh.
Don't you??
So, it depends on the setting.

Mostly from the way they were raised.
You may have noticed that the rest of the world is relaxed about it.
They go topless on the beaches and no one cares, why, because it is the way they were raised. It's what they know and that makes them comfortable with it.

Because many people in this country are raised to believe sex is dirty. Its ridiculous, but it's common.

Most of us are too fat, thin, old, young, saggy, droopy, too light, too dark, etc. and when we see those beautiful airbrushed naked bodies, we feel bad about ourselves.
