Where are you from and what's it like to live where you live? What area is a good place to visit? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

Hello! Washington D.C. and New York City are in America. I'm asking about good tourist places OUTSIDE of America, thanks. Example, France: Louvre?

I'm from London.

What's it like? It's a very big, fast, diverse, cosmopolitan, multi-cultural city (over 200 languages spoken). There is always something to do regardless of what your interests are. There is a lot of history going back over 2000 years.

However: It's dirty, the transport system sucks, people are always fighting, there's a lot of crime (although it's not as bad as people from elsewhere in the UK might think - when I was 14 I met some guys from Sheffield. They asked if I had ever killed anyone. Just because I'm from London), there are a lot of homeless people (not their fault.... the government should find homes for them. Many are very nice people), there is a big drug problem throughout the city, much of it is quite ugly (bad planning from the 1950s and 60s), it's expensive (the 3rd or 4th most expensive city in the world - Tokyo and Stockholm are higher). But all big cities are like that in some way.

Back to the positives again: There are more trees than in just about any other large metropolis, there are lots of parks, people are, for the most part, pretty friendly and helpful, there are literally dozens upon dozens of museums, galleries, exhibitions etc, hundreds of live music venues and nightclubs, a vibrant warehouse party scene.... anything you want, it's here (except a beach or a mountain).

"When a man tires of London, he has tired of life".

Rio de Janeiro. Europe is nice, I liked the Eastern countries/cities, like Budapest and Warsaw. Look for the cities that weren't totally destroyed during WWII. Asia is great, I loved some of the smaller cities around Bangkok.
