patience and a lot of guts... why would you want to market and unmarketable product or one that has a very low client base. Seems rather odd.

This is what we call "niche market".

Once you have identified that niche market, then decide which is the best way to contact them to promote your product.

For example, some manufacturers of very expensive products found out that their potential customers are the First Class Passengers on Air Flights. And that is where they marketed their products through in-flight free shops, or by advertising on the free passenger magazines.

You are going about that all wrong. You want to have a product that "many" people will want to buy !!

Create a need, make it sound attractive, prove how useful it could be for that need.
