I took a pay cut to work from my home as a help desk tech, i have worked there only a month and i am barley out of training,
i have my other job where i still work 2 days a week.
well i am having some major anxieties over this new job. i feel that i am not doing the job as well as im supposed to, i dont know if i like it as much as i thought. i dont like talking on the phone at all, i dont like talking to most of the customers that call for help, i dont like sitting all day, and not only that i have shooting pains in my wirst when i am on the computer alot(i think its carpal tunnel).
i dont know if i should just wait and see if it gets better or not.
i would feel bad quiting because
1 i have only worked there 1 month
2 there are only 10 other people that work there
3 someone put in a good word to hire me
also they make there schedule a month in advance, so should i just put in my 2 weeks or do i finish off the rest of the month?
i have a possible raise in 90 days, should i wait?

Well...if you really hate it, and your finances can allow it, then leave! For every good job opportunity you see or encounter, there is a better job out there for you. Move on if you hate it, or if your unsure, give it another month. Sometimes people stick it out until they know what is going on and they know the ropes just to see if the job truly is worthwhile and enjoyable. Who knows, you may love it later.

Anytime I have been at a job that I wasn't sure about, I don't exactly think things through. If I am at a job and too much stuff in one day builds up, I am pushed over the limit and walk off the job. I am currently at a job I love, but a couple years back worked at a gas station where the owners come from a different country and tried running the business how it owuld be ran in their country. That lasted 2 seconds before I left. They then threatened to keep my paycheck from me, where I immediately called my attorney and was paid 5 times the amount I should have been paid.

Seems like this has been on your mind heavily.
1. Talk to the friend who recommended you for
job, and let him or her know what you are
feeling!
2. Put in a proper notice
3. Leave with respect. Just in case you may
need the friend for a reference.
The bottom line is everyone is not cut out to do the same line of work.

If your wirst is getting worst (the shooting pains) I would go to a doctor immediately. Based on what your doctor says is where you can have better access information whether or not you want to stay at your job.

I'd wait it out. It usually takes a couple months to get settled in a new job and learn the routine. If you've given it a few months and it's still not for you, then quit.

I would wait because:
1. It might get better
2. You won't feel as guilty
3. It doesn't look good on a resume if you quit after a month.
Good luck!

You gotta do what you love and love what you do. It's your life. If your not doing a good job, they would let you go without a thought.
