My daughter got hers at 10 and my youngest (11) hasn't yet. Between 8 and 18 I have read.

my answer to this question is the age between 9-13 years that you should get a period.Most girls get them in year 7 in primary school. If you haven't got your yet my advise is to carry a pad in you schoolbag in a brown paper bag so if you get them not to be scared as it is a fact of life and let your teacher know at school what has happen. If you have a female teacher she will understand what you are going through and she will help you.

Adverage ages are between 8 years of age and 17.
I got mine at 9 years old.
My mom got her's around 12 years old or so.
My siser got her's at 16.
My aunt didn't get her's til she was in her mid teens.
So, every female is different. Some are young and some are older.
Just have to wait til your body does.

Well, I think we guest your were a girl...don't know many guys that would ask this questoin.
12-16 is the common age to get your period.

the time when any girl gets her first periods depends on alot of factors:
heredity,
environment,
physical activities,
body structure,
and surroundings ( environmet )
it has been found that those girls who are more active in sports get their periods earlier and those who are quite get their later, those who get a frustating environment, get their lately and unsual ( may be improper timings and unusal heavy discharge etc ), fatty girls also get theirs lately in general....... so find out which category do u belong and ....
9-10 years ---------} early
11-14 years ---------} normal
15-18 years ----------} late

I got it when I was 10 when i was in 4th grade. I know of some girls who got it when they were in 2nd grade. Then I know of some who didn't get it until they were 16. It all depends. Ask your mom when she got her's because that's a good indication of when you will get your's.
