Going to Germany for Oktoberfest, me and my brother are looking to see a couple other places, like the Neitherlands and who knows what else, is it better to pay 325 for a rail pass for 3 countrys or just by some plane tickets, someone said you can get them cheap from country to country? Any links to the flights would be awsome

Contact a travel agent. I bet they can give you all the best deals. I've had better luck with them over internet sites anyway. They give great deals and they have lots of good travel info.

The rail passes are a good deal if you want to stop in a few places plus you get to see the countryside. Flights are pretty cheep if you just want to stop in one or 2 places. Germany has so much to see that a rail pass is well worth it. You can just get off somewhere interesting. The cheepest airlines are mostly through England (ryanair and easyjet) but there are some Germany ones as well (berlinair). Just do a google search for cheep europe airlines. This will actually get you a page that has a lot of airlines listed. I do think you would have more fun though on the train because you meet so many other travelers.

Hi, I wouldn't contact an agent, it's much more fun, if you're on your own. Rail pass is good if you wanna see just the countries, that are near to each other. If you're going a bit further - Spain, UK etc., I'd use low-cost airlines. The air tickets are sometimes really cheap, even cheaper than trains. Check www.flylowcostairlines.org, you can find there connections between Germany and other cities, you want to visit.

Go with the railpass, the distances are not so you'ld spend several days in the train, and you'll be much more flexible to add a few destinations.
