Are questions fruitless?
Answers can be. Seeking the answers can become. Wasting too much time on a specific answer can be.
It's not a question itself that is ever fruitless but how and why you approach it and chose to answer it.

Because the ultimate answer to this universe is also probbly a fruitless one...Atleast i hope so otherwise if God ends up having a big theory...which no one can understand...then...It will all be a waste!!!

because while pondering such question, we seek to strengthen our knowledge and even when a question has no definite answers, we seek to explore the issue through many angles and obtain lots of ideas in order to catagorize and organize our thoughts.
All done in the pursuit of simplifying very complex issues.

Why not? If your going to ask that kind of question, why are you here answering questions when you could actually be out helping society, and making a difference, or doing something more rewarding or healthy for yourself?
