I was thinking of a beach party, just friends at the beach....or going bar hopping. I really have no idea of what to do.... I dont own a beach house, if I dont what should I do?

Luau's are always great fun and they can even be done in the backyard! Get some tiki torches and big beach hats, fun hawaiian prints, grass skirts, make fruity frozen drinks and have a great time! You'll get to hang out with a larger variety of people who would be more comfortable in that scene rather than at a beach or bar. And in my opinion its better/more fun quality time with your guests!

Since it sounds like you live near the beach I would just go with a cheap, good ole, bonefire type party. It will be a nice and relaxed situation where everyone can have a good time regardless of their money situation. You can go bar hopping any time. Wish I could have had a beach bonefire party!
Just keep the drunk kids away from the water. :)

A beach party sounds really nice!! You don't own a beach house? YOU CAN ALWAYS RENT ONE!!
Invite persons whom you are close to, ONLY!!...this would make everything memorable...
Inviting plain acquaintances may bring the party down because you always have to think if they're comfortable or not..I mean, THIS is YOUR day..focus on yourself..
Splurge on food and drinks... Maybe you could even ask them to make their own drinks and let everyone taste their own concoction...
Remember to bring a video camera!! To catch all the wacky stuff!
And just have fun..
P.S. Make sure that you have the day-off the next day for hang-overs..okay? hehehe.. Have fun! Advanced Happy Birthday, too!

The beach sounds nice but a classy dinner and the beach afterwards sounds better.

have a theme party... they are always fun. if you can afford it.. give a prize for the best costum. last party i had was a 50's gave a guy a 20.00 gift certificate for coming as Elvis.
