If you can actually see them moving, there satellites or even space junk!..If you notice them progressing across the sky over some days..There planets..If you know there stars..There not moving, its us moving!..Anything else you see flying about up there is your own personel problem,unless its a macdonalds advertisment..In which case...I surrender!..

Bratchild has it! They are satellites, and there are plenty of them. You don't have to be in darkest France to see them - anywhere away from street lighting on a moonless night will do.

me too I'm curious about that moving star Cox i seen it many times now I read the answer to your question and now I know that it was a satellite.........thanks for the info

they can be any number of things:
aircraft
satellites
meteors
planets
it really depends on how slow you're talking about. but you're probably talking about the satellites. most of the one's you'll notice move north and south every few minutes or so.

more than likely communication sattelites or even space debris
that is in a stationary orbit around the earth.

Satellites--if you keep watching they'll come back every 20minutes or so once they've orbitted the earth.
