I taught myself so I could pass the driving test. I learned by parking between two garbage cans and learning to use my rear view mirror backing out of our long narrow drive way

I never learned how, and I've been driving for two years. I live in the Chicago suburbs, there's never really any need to parallel park out here, there's oodles of parking lots. And when I go into the city, I never take my car, I take the train. So I've had no need to learn yet.

Driver's Ed teacher and I'm good at it. There was a girl in our Driver's Ed class that actually HIT the car she was trying to parallel park next to. She flunked, to say the least, lol.

I taught myself and I'm damn good! I lived in an apartment complex that only had street parking. You can bet your bippy that there were only the super small parking spaces left when I got home from class, so I had to learn real quick:-)
